1st Announcement

Dear Colleague,

after the first two editions held at Fermilab (2005) and at the U. of Wisconsin, Madison (2006), the "TeV Particle Astrophysics" Workshop moves to Europe:

"TeV Particle Astrophysics III" will be held in Venice, Italy, from August 27 to 31 2007, hosted by the "Istituto Veneto" at Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti, one of the most noteworthy buildings in Venice.

The aim of the Workshop is to bring together researchers with diverse scientific backgrounds, and a shared interest in the exploration of Particle Physics and Particle Astrophysics at TeV and higher scales. The topics that will be discussed are:

-- TeV Particle Physics at LHC, and its connections with Cosmology;

-- Gamma-ray Astrophysics: theoretical aspects; latest observational results from ground based experiments; prospects for GLAST; future plans for a large gamma-ray infrastructure

-- Dark Matter: new strategies for indirect detection, present and future of direct searches; first results from PAMELA

-- Ultra-High Energy Cosmic rays: update on acceleration and propagation; latest observational results from AUGER

-- Neutrino telescopes: Status and future plans for Antares, IceCube, Nemo, Nestor and KM3NeT

Strong emphasis will be placed on fresh theoretical and observational results, and to the prospects for detecting signals of new physics both at colliders and with particle astrophysics experiments.

The 2nd announcement will be sent by the end of January 2007, and will include instructions for registration, a preliminary list of plenary speakers, and some useful Venice travel tips. For more information please visit the workshop website

We look forward to meeting you in Venice,
